I hate Christmas, I really do ... at least the 'Christmas' they've been selling us a bit earlier each year on TV. I suspect by the time I'm dead, Walmart, Target et al will be starting their Christmas ads right after July 4th.

How about teaching your kids it is not about how many toys or gifts they get but how the spirit of giving, rejoicing in family and the renewal of faith is what Christmas is all about. I have seen kids ripping open presents looking at it for 15 seconds chucking it and grabbing another. This signifies that they have never been taught what the season is all about in my opinion.
